India lives in its rural population. People here loves kushtiwrestling despite Urban society's obsession for Cricket, This phenomena could be seen manifested in Mainpuri. A  Dangal at Village Kishani Chanda witnessed large number of spectators. Wrestler Vikram Pahlwan emerged star of the event , who won four fights in row and mesmerized  the crowed.  Vikram fought with wrestlers of Ferojabad, Jaswant Nagar and Oraiya. 

Vikram has become a source of inspiration for the young aspirants. Kushti lovers are turned into his fans with increasing numbers day by day. 

It was a great event with many many other wrestlers competed. The event was inaugurated by Devraj Singh Yadav. The member of Parliament of the area also witnessed the event. The chief guests honored and rewarded  Vikram Yadav Pahlwan for putting a great show. 

People here now understand how Vikram's father is pulling himself together for Vikram's wrestling career. Vikram's father is my friend also , and I am happy that the dangal committee honored him. 

मैनपुरी ! शहरी कल्चर भले की  क्रिकेट  की  दीवानगी में झूमता हो लेकिन ग्रामीण समाज में आज  भी कुश्ती  के प्रति लोगों में खासा रुझान  बना हुआ है इस बात का अंदाजा उस समय हुआ जब मैनपुरी जनपद के किसनी में आयोजित एक विशाल दंगल में प्रदेश के उभरते युवा  पहलवान विक्रम यादव ने मध्य प्रदेश व राजस्थान से आये दिग्गज पहलवानों को चुनौती देते हुए कुश्ती के लिए ललकारा और चन्द मिनटों में ही चुनौती स्वीकार करने वाले पहलवानों को एक एक चारो खाने चित कर दिया !

विक्रम ने इस दंगल में चुनौती देने वाले 4 पहलवानों को आसमान दिखाया विक्रम के इस ज़ज्बे से प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलो से दंगल में पहुंचें दंगल प्रेमियों का दिल गदगद हो उठा इनामो की झडी लग गयी तथा लोगों में  विक्रम को कंधें पर उठाने की होड़ मच गयी ।

मैनपुरी  में हर वर्ष की तरह इस साल भी किसनी में दंगल का आयोजन किया गया था जहां  विभिन्न प्रदेशों  से पहलवान जोर आजमाइश करने के लिए आए थे। दंगल में मध्यप्रदेश के बाली पहलवान  व राजस्थान के  पहलवान ने पहले विक्रम को लड़ने की चुनौती दी जिसे  विक्रम ने लपककर स्वीकार कर लिया बताते चलें की विगत करीब दो सालों से  फिरोजाबाद के  युवा पहलवान विक्रम अपने से बड़े व बजनी पहलवानों से चुनौती स्वीकारते चले आ रहे हैं तथा लगातार  जीत भी दर्ज कर रहें हैं जिसके चलते उत्तर प्रदेश के लगभग हर जिले में विक्रम के कुश्ती के चाहने वालों की तादाद भी बढ़ती  जा रही है यहाँ आयोजित दंगल का उदघाटन देवराज सिंह यादव ने किया  दंगल में स्थानीय  सांसद भी मौजूद रहे  ! अपने से ज्यादा वजन और ज्यादा उम्र के पहलवान की बिना हिचक चुनौती स्वीकारने वाले विक्रम पहलवान को उन्होंने  सम्मानित करते हुए पुरस्कृत भी किया इस अवसर पर विक्रम पहलवान के पिता श्री को भी पगड़ी पहना कर स्वागत व सम्मान किया गया !इसी तरह विक्रम पहलवान ने फिरोजाबाद, जसवंत नगर तथा औरैया  में भी दिग्गज पहलवानों को चित कर लोगों का दिल जीत लिया !
